How we work
Six Stages, In Order, Every Time
Construction goes wrong in the gaps — between trades, between decisions, between what was said and what was written. Our process exists to close those gaps before they cost you money.
- 01
Project Inquiry
Tell us what you're building, improving or repairing — through the quote form, a call or an email. We review every inquiry and respond with honest next steps, including whether the project is a fit.
- 02
Discovery & Site Review
We walk the property, document existing conditions, and listen to how you use the space. This is where constraints surface — access, occupancy, utilities, structure — while they're still cheap to plan around.
- 03
Scope Development
Your project becomes a written scope: what's included, what's excluded, where allowances stand in for pending decisions. A defined scope is what makes a price meaningful and a schedule real.
- 04
Proposal & Scheduling
You receive a clear proposal against the scope, with lead-time items flagged and a sequencing plan. Questions are welcome — a proposal you fully understand is the point, not a formality.
- 05
Construction & Coordination
Trades arrive in the right order because someone is ordering them. You get a consistent communication cadence, documented decisions, and priced changes before work proceeds — never after.
- 06
Final Walkthrough & Closeout
We walk the finished work with you, complete the punch list, and hand over closeout documentation. The project ends when you say it's right — and we plan to be the team you call next time.
What you can expect
During the project
- A named project lead who owns your job from proposal through closeout
- A communication cadence agreed before work starts — and kept
- Changes documented and priced before work proceeds, never after
- Trades scheduled in sequence, with lead-time items ordered early
- A property left protected, clean and respected throughout
What we ask of you
Where clients make projects go well
- Make selections early — finishes and fixtures drive the schedule more than labor does
- Route decisions through your project lead so nothing gets lost between trades
- Flag concerns as they arise; small course corrections beat big ones
- Plan household or business logistics with us before mobilization
Start the conversation
Ready for stage one?
Stage one is a conversation. Tell us what you're planning and we'll take it from there.
We review every project inquiry and follow up to discuss scope, timing and next steps.
Mesas Build Co. is fully insured, and the trade partners we bring onto your project hold the licenses their work requires. Documentation relevant to your project is provided during the proposal process.
