General Contracting in Dallas–Fort Worth
When a project involves more than one trade, someone has to own the whole picture. As your general contractor, Mesas Build Co. develops the scope, prices the work, coordinates subcontractors, manages the schedule and stays accountable to you from the first site visit through final walkthrough.

Planning
Worth deciding early
- A clear written scope is the foundation of a comparable, reliable price — invest time there first.
- Sequencing matters: demolition, rough trades, inspections and finishes each have prerequisites.
- Long-lead materials (windows, equipment, custom cabinetry) should be ordered before mobilization.
- Occupied homes and operating businesses need dust control, work-hour and access planning.
- Permit requirements vary by city across DFW; confirm jurisdiction requirements before scheduling.
Our process on this work

You receive a defined scope before you receive a price, and a named point of contact throughout.

Questions
General Contracting FAQs
We provide general contracting across the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex, including Dallas, Fort Worth and surrounding communities. See our service-area page for current coverage.
Do you handle both residential and commercial projects?
Yes. We coordinate residential renovations and commercial improvements across Dallas–Fort Worth. The process is the same disciplined sequence — scope first, then price, then schedule — adjusted for how your property operates.
How do you price general-contracting work?
We develop a written scope from a site visit and your goals, then price that scope with our trade partners. You see what is included, what is excluded and where allowances apply before work begins.
Who will be my point of contact during the project?
One Mesas Build Co. project lead owns your project from proposal through closeout. Questions, changes and updates run through that person, not through individual subcontractors.
Can you work from architect or designer drawings?
Yes. We bid from plans and coordinate with your architect or designer during construction. If you don't have drawings, we can help determine whether your project needs them.
